Hello, I'm adding my comment to say the ICANN should not increase the price of the .com domain because it will hurt individuals and small businesses the most. These two groups are entrepreneurs or creating jobs in their local communities. Due to that, building an online brand is important to their success. Alas, these people tend to buy a .com domain because it's the most common and trusted on the Internet. So if you increase the fee, these individuals will have to either pay more money for it, which could hurt their business budget, or choose another domain that's cheaper.
