As a small business owner, I have to be conscious of every dollar spent. A website is a necessary business expense. The domain should not be a deal breaker. ICANN's decision to make this deal with Verisign was done without notification to the ICANN community. One of the most important rules of business is to know your customer. This decision not only appears that you do not know your customer's, you simply do not care about us. That is tragic. Please limit the price increases. Give small businesses a chance to succeed.
