Hi, .COM is the gold standard of TLD's, not because of any intrinsic value but because of it's name recognition. Increasing the prices of .COM will make online credibility more expensive and available to fewer, but will increase any form of credibility or prestige associated with .COM. It seems to me this change only hurts people and businesses, so I'm against it. -Eric Martin
