Hello I oppose the new verisign proposed contract. It is unfair to consumers. Domain names are one of the few telecoms and IT products and services that have got more expensive over time. Based on past contracts, it is clear the price will go up by the maximum at every opportunity. This is a legalised monopoly and extortion. Contracts should not be negotiated in secret to line icann’s pockets at the expense of millions of consumers. 20m dollars is also really a pittance given the profit verisign can make.
