I oppose allowing Verisign to increase the wholesale price to registrars for .COM domains. Since 2012, the infrastructure costs related to administering the domain name system have all declined. Other top level domains are available in the market for $2.50 or less. The only justification for increasing the wholesale price of .COM domains is to extract rents from businesses that have no choice but to comply. Since a .COM domain is an essential part of a business’ identity, moving to a less expensive domain isn’t a reasonable alternative. -- David Adams 801-598-2217
