[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Some price increase is reasonable…
Good morning, I’m writing in opposition to the "Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement.” I understand the need to adjust one’s pricing from timer to time. It is not only reasonable, but expected. I also appreciate that an argument could be made that current prices have not kept up with costs or inflation. However, the potential increases outlined in this new agreement far exceed any semblance of reasonable increases. I know the temptation is always to “get what the market will bear” and raise prices as much as possible. That said, internet domains are not like regular, consumer products and services. While they may not be the kind of public good one first thinks of, I would argue that they are and I believe most of the internet would agree. As an entrepreneur I have a vested interest in this price increase and am opposed to it as outlined in Amendment 3. While I am not against price changes in general, I know a bad deal when I see one. - David Hudson
