This proposed price increase will harm many consumers. There is no valid reason to raise prices in a registrar - technology costs get cheaper at scale and over time. This is a pure money grab for profits off of everybody's backs. I'm disgusted ICANN is considering allowing this. At the very least, existing domains should be grand-fathered in at the current prices! -karl
