I will be extremely brief. At issue are smaller entities which need their domain names. Increasing pricing will present undue burden to small businesses with a web presence. Having a web presence is already extremely expensive. Allowing verisign to increase rates much larger than inflation creates monopolistic behavior on part of the domain name issuer ripe for abuse. In order to have a usable internet as service with a diversity of content, costs must remain low. Thanks, J.R.
