[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Public comments concerning Amendment 3
It is entirely disappointing to continuously see attempts of major corporations attempt to bypass the opinion and consent of its major users for monetary benefit. I strongly oppose amendment 3 and strongly condemn ICANN officials for taking such steps to pass an agreement that would be detrimental towards the progression of human society by means of the internet and domains. The TLD .COM has for decades been a means for individuals to change their own lives, and shape the direction of society, through what they create. By passing this amendment, and inadvertently allowing the price hikes to registrations of .COMs you are stifling innovation and stifling the dreams of global citizens who use this address as a means of hope for a better life. Do not pass this amendment. Do not move forward with this deal with Verisign. Remember that you serve the global public first, before any shareholder or government.
