The proposed pricing increase for domain names is heartbreaking. There are SO MANY regular citizens (like myself) who decided to step out of the box and follow what they’re passionate about by starting a business, blog, or website. One of the first and scariest steps to take when starting a new passion is creating a website and these price increases only add a barrier to an already intimidating part of the process. Not to mention, the price to start a website in general is already expensive, so increasing prices will no doubt hinder many potential consumers from even buying a domain name just because of the price alone. It’s sad that companies are putting such a hefty price tag on people’s passions!
