The proposed agreement to give Verisign a windfall, with no accountability and developed without community oversight, is unconscionable. As an entity in monopoly position over one of the fundamental technologies of the web, it behooves you to derive your policies from a mandate from *all* of that community's stakeholders, not behind closed doors, without a clear statement of need and with no oversight of what the funds will be used for after such a policy is enacted, beyond padding Verisign profits.
