Hello there, This is a comment regarding small business and the proposed amendment. With .com now being the standard and have strong demand, I totally get your motivation in increasing the prices: fewer .com domain available, good notoriety and more people interested. However, please do not forget small company who own .com domain. We are a small business and back in 2007, we chose a .com domain (instead of .ca). We could have chosen a .ca (but it's two late now), but we didn't. It is now sad to see that ICANN want's to take a decision that will harm a lot of small business that have a limited budget for their online presence, even if it is those small businesses who contribute to make .com domain popular. I hope ICANN will not abuse its power at the expense of the small companies that have contributed to its success. Thank you, Marie-Anne Nonyme
