I am not in favor of this proposal. It is my view that lacking significant competition in terms of running this database, and with web customers unable to simply migrate their sites, the price controls ICANN currently places on TLD registrars are an important and necessary part of the system. Furthermore, the rate increases are dramatically out of proportion to expected inflation, leading to higher costs for consumers, and unearned profits for Verisign. Matthew Lauber
