As a long time owner of multiple .com domain names, I am completely against the proposed amendment. There is no valid justification for the proposed price increase. US inflation since 2012 is 11%, so this proposed raise of 30% is nearly 3 times inflation. Further, the real costs of operating a network service will have actually decreased in that time, due to improved technology and economies of scale, therefore this proposal is completely unjustifiable and must not go ahead.
