Amendment 3 is absurd. This will effectively limit access to .com domains for low income individuals and small businesses making a socioeconomic barrier to the most reputable TLD of all time. ICANN will be the recipient of a huge kickback from Verisign and amendment 3 does nothing to illustrate how these funds will be spent to benefit the global community. This will be seen as a shady deal performed in secret to the detriment of many and the benefit of very few. It's a shame that ICANN finds this publicity inconsequential and disregards what's best for the global community. If amendment 3 passes, I will do everything I can to educate all my customers about the reputation of .COM TLD's; that they have been twisted into a cash grab scheme and are no longer the go-to TLD for businesses.
