Increases in costs for maintaining domains has not happened significantly enough to warrant the proposed changes to increase the prices over time as proposed. There is not enough evidence that these costs are anywhere near necessary and if occurring a petition to congress to look into the reasons for a increase like this that will effect millions of businesses and individuals would be the next step.
