I strongly oppose a .com price increase. It would hurt my business as a domain name investor and upset the domain name industry at large. Part of the .com attraction is the stable, reasonable price. It will hurt Verisign's business if they try to raise the price. It will encourage and give credence to the new gtld's, and change the public mind set to start using other extensions, thus breaking .com's grip as the most popular extension.
