The internet is and must remain a public good. When private comes in to buy up internet infrastructure to raise prices for the benefit of their limited partners, the world suffers. Value is not created for consumers or the world, rather value is concentrated for the private equity limited partners. In the specific case of the internet, it is a public good that must be protected. We say NO to private equity appropriation of internet infrastructure, raising prices, and holding the internet hostage.
