IDB Invest supports the comments submitted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank), and other Intergovernmental Organizations (IGOs) on the Final Report on the IGO-INGO Access to Curative Rights Protection Mechanisms Policy Development Process. The proposed Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) does not take into account IGOs’ unique status, particularly with respect to their privileges and immunities. IDB Invest urges the GNSO to reconsider its final recommendations regarding IGOs as such entities require tailored protection in the DNS system based on their unique characteristics as subjects of public international law.
