I am writing to oppose the proposed removal of fee caps affecting .org gTLD domains. I share the view, submitted by many other internet users, that the .org gTLD is in essence a public trust and distinct from other more directly for-profit gTLDs. The fee cap removal would negatively affect not-for-profit and non-profit organizations disproportionately while delivering no tangible increase in service or other benefit — a profit grab, pure and simple.
