The Internet is a great equalizer of free speech. A lone voice in the wilderness is able to post a website just as inexpensively and as freely as the largest company or government. This is an issue of free speech and freedom.
If fees are raised, like a large fee on a toll road, many Internet users will be forced off the road.
In fact, I run websites for two, small, volunteer, non-profit organizations, who pay for their Internet, website, and email expenses out-of-pocket.
Raising the fees, or allowing for-profit companies to raise their fees is tantamount to supporting the Big Guys over the Little Guys.
This is not a free capital market issue but a freedom of speech issue.
Thank you,
KJ Hannah
