.org domains are one of the most widely recognized and used gTLDs available on the internet today. They are primarily used by non-profits and other member-based organizations. By removing the price caps you may be forcing Non-Profits and Charities to either switch to less well know or well regarded gTLDs, or more likely stress the already narrow operating budgets of non-profits across the globe.
