ICANN should be aware that “market forces” and “free market” are misnomers to let controlling interests charge as much as they can reasonably get away with.
Where the Internet has opened up to a free market, the consumer has usually suffered. Letting PIR charge whatever it wants can hardly be described as in the users best interest.
Please reconsider this proposal.
