I'd like to comment on the proposed removal of price caps on rewnewal of the .org registry agreement. I believe that the removal of the existing limitations on the price of registrations are not justified. There is no evidence of increased costs (it is likely that long term operating expenses have, and will continue to decline in real terms), so any price increases (above inflation) would seem to amount to rent-seeking. This seems more egregious given the use of the .org TLD by non-profits and other non-commercial entities. Regards, Tim Small.
