The overwhelming majority of .org domain holders are NOT cash-flush businesses but non-profits or other similar structures and associations. This seems to be solving a problem that doesn’t need fixing – already a 10% increase allowance outpaces inflation, and it’s not like the domain registrars are going bankrupt over their market limitations. The administration of the internet is a global public utility without competition, and as such should not be deregulated to allow monopoly forces to take control.
