[Comments-org-renewal-18mar19] Proposed Renewal of .org Registry Agreement
I am submitting my comment in regard specifically to the proposed removal of a price cap on .org domain names. It is completely unreasonable and unfair to expect small domain holders particularly (often non-profits or small businesses) to be able to pay unlimited domain name fees to their ISPs, which will have to pass on such increases to us, their customers. Holders of such domains, as mentioned, are often non-profits or small businesses with extremely limited budgets. Please don't allow the Public Interest Registry (PIR) to put unlimited increases on the wholesale price to ISPs of .org domains. No one wins (except PIR!) in such a scenario. And the losers will be both the domain holders and their users who depend on the online information such domains provide. Thank you.
