Hey, not everyone is from a first-world country. The potential .org price increase could be a few dollars more for an American, but those few dollars go a long way in other countries - first example off my mind, India. There are a lot of individuals there who work in tech and might want to purchase a domain for an organization or themselves, but the pay is comparatively really low.
