I run or participate in a number of very small non-profit organizations that use the .org TLD. The current protection from exorbitant domain name price increases is important for these organizations with small budgets. If the price is raised beyond the ability of their budgets to bear, this will erode the ability of these organizations to participate fully in the Internet, ceding the ground to larger players.
