Many .org domains are owned by small non-profit organisations where even the current price is significant. Any increase would make it impossible maintain thus wasting many years in establishing the identity, and allowing others to exploit the good name built up. We have .com (and .co.uk) etc for commercial organisations who can perhaps cope better with exploitation - leave .org for the rest. Richard Whitby
