Many nonprofits run on extremely lean budgets as they devote themselves to making a positive social impact. The internet has been a way to expand that impact at lower cost. Unregulated prices on .org domains could create a devastating financial pressure on nonprofit organizations, many of whom scramble month to month financially to make ends meet while they serve some of the most vulnerable and disadvantages people in society.
