I write this email in support of the British Columbia International and Commercial Arbitration Centre (“BCICAC”) application process as a UDRP provider for ICANN.

I have been a panellist member (arbitrator/dispute resolution) of the BCICAC since 2002. I confirm that in my dealings with them, they always been efficient, professional, and beyond reproach, in all aspects.

There are currently 2 UDRP providers in Europe (Geneva and Prague), and 5 in Asia, but only one in the Western Hemisphere/ North America – ADR Forum in the United States, which appears to not respond to either volume or other needs.

Adding the BCICAC as a UDRP provider would not only add numerical balance to the number of UDRP providers in North and South America, but do so with a provider whose reputation has a proven, track record of impeccable professional conduct.

Further, it would also add and expand ICANN’s notoriety beyond the United States, by having a Canadian presence – not to mention the ability for the BCICAC to handle French speaking matters with due dispatch as a result of its’ French speaking membership.

For the reasons noted above, I have no hesitation whatsoever in supporting BCICAC’s application as UDRP provider for ICANN.
