During the ICANN51 Finance open session, a question was raised as to how many new registries are expected to generate transaction fees (registration/transfer/deletion) for ICANN in the FY15 Budget.

As a reminder, the registries are eligible for transaction fees if and when their cumulative number transactions exceeds 50,000 during a consecutive 4-quarter period.

The FY15 revenue projections include an assumption that 16% of the registries (or about 1 out of 6) would exceed the threshold and therefore be billed transaction fees by ICANN during the period.
