Dear Councilors, If you recall, on 31 May I shared an initial solicitation for feedback on the proposed GNSO PR Officer roles and responsibilities document: ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EqiSMYetLvWz_ro0EfWrVLf77JOLoowIS5Zbm5NF... [docs.google.com] ) Noting that one of the two substantive recommendations for new mechanisms to enhance the GNSO Council’s communications practice put forward by the Council Small Team on Communications is to appoint a member in the GNSO Council to serve as a “PR Officer.” Given that we have all been busy with ICANN80 travel, and meetings, we would like to propose a deadline for feedback on the PR Officer roles and responsibilities document as Monday 24 June at 23:59 UTC. As you will see, the document considers ICANN policies on social media, making it a PR Officer-led initiative supported by the staff. We intend to have it on the consent agenda for the July meeting, so let me know if any concerns or are possibly interested in the position of PR Officer for the GNSO Council as soon as possible. In that regard, I am sharing the proposed GNSO PR Officer roles and responsibilities document ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EqiSMYetLvWz_ro0EfWrVLf77JOLoowIS5Zbm5NF... ) that staff has helped put together for your review and feedback.
