The symposium invites researchers, developers, and operators (of any description) to present on subjects including, but not limited to, ideas around extending the DNS protocol, optimizing performance, safeguarding DNS communications, and increasing the reliability and availability of DNS service in case of attack or outage.

This first cycle of the program will distribute up to $10 million total in grants to support projects consistent with ICANN's mission and in line with the objectives of the program.

NEW: A Request for FY26 Planning Prioritization Group Nominations: Due 28 June 2024

 

The FY26 Annual Operating Plan and Budget Planning Process has launched, and we are seeking nominations from the SO/AC Leadership to the community led Planning Prioritization Group. The community-led Planning Prioritization Group is scheduled to hold meetings in July 2024. This timing will permit ICANN org to receive input for the development of the Draft Operating Plan and Budget, which is planned to open for Public Comment in December 2024. 

 

We ask that the SO/AC Leadership please nominate new members or re-confirm the previous member(s) from your group no later than 28 June 2024. Previous members by SO/AC are listed here [danh45uab.cc.rs6.net]. Please email the name of the members that you have nominated to planning@icann.org with a copy to the Policy Strategic Management team (policy-strat-mgt@icann.org).

The NomCom Chair is responsible for organizing the NomCom in its activities to select certain ICANN Board members and individuals who will serve in key leadership positions within ICANN's Supporting Organizations (SOs) and Advisory Committees (ACs) in accordance with ICANN's Bylaws.
