Thanks for your suggestion.  After consulting with Terri and Caitlin, we’d like to suggest this path forward recognizing that Greg (the maker of the motion) is out of office through the 20th:

 

  1. We’ve revised the attached motion, with redlined changes, per your suggestion to include the Issues of Importance since, as you note, we actually already conveyed both documents to the Board;
  2. Ask Greg – via this message and separately – if he accepts the amendments as friendly, thus following protocol. Realistically this may not happen until just before the Council meeting, but as the revised motion already is being sent to the list the timing shouldn’t be an issue.

 

Thanks again and we welcome any additional suggestions you may have concerning this motion.

Hi Terri

At the moment this Motion is only formally adopting the Input on the GAC Advice and not the Issues of Importance. I know we haven’t always provided feedback on the Issues of Importance.  We didn’t for ICANN 77), and for ICANN 76 it looks as though we provided the input more informally and so I don’t think we formally adopted it, but in this case both sets of input were sent together to Tripti and so I think perhaps for completeness we should do both?
