NEW: ICANN Announces DENIC as Sole ICANN-Designated Registrar Data Escrow Agent

ICANN org selected DENIC through a competitive Request for Proposal [r20.rs6.net] initiated in March 2023, in accordance with ICANN org's procurement best practices to ensure services are sourced with the correct specifications, at the appropriate level of quality, and for appropriate value.

NEW: A New and Simplified Way to Request Nonpublic gTLD Registration Data

This new, free, and global service will simplify and standardize the way nonpublic data requests are made for both registrars and requestors through the use of a single platform. We are on track to launch the service in late November 2023 with early onboarding for registrars planned for September.

Press Release: ICANN convenes security experts for 50th time to keep the Internet secure

ICANN will hold its 50th key signing ceremony on 19 July 2023, at its Los Angeles facility. This key ceremony is a crucial operational event that is fundamental to how ICANN secures the Internet's Domain Name System (DNS).

Webinar

REMINDER: ICANN Webinars Will Provide Information About Service to Request Nonpublic Data

ICANN org will host two webinars this month to provide information about the Registration Data Request Service (RDRS), a new service for requesting access to nonpublic registration data related to generic top-level domains (gTLDs). The webinars will provide an update on progress made on building the RDRS, including features such as bulk processing for registrars and templates for frequent requestors. The webinars will also give participants an opportunity to ask questions related to the development of the service.
