NEW Chair’s Blog: Previewing the January Board Workshop

As 2023 gets underway, the ICANN Board is eager to continue its work in furtherance of ICANN's mission.

NEW: ICANN Publishes Seven Additional Script-Based Reference Label Generation Rules

ICANN has developed seven additional script-based reference Label Generation Rules (LGRs) for the second level for Armenian, Cyrillic, Greek, Latin, Japanese, Korean, and Myanmar. Associated language-based reference LGRs have been updated accordingly. This work was done in consultation with relevant script communities to improve the transparency and consistency of the Internationalized Domain Name table review process and to facilitate the registry operations of generic top-level domains.

REMINDER: ICANN Request for Proposal: Software Engineering Staff Augmentation

Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) organization issued a request for proposal (RFP) to identify a contracting firm that can provide staff augmentation resources across multiple projects for software engineering, along with a cross functional team

Participants submit proposals via the RFP Portal by 26 January 2023

REMINDER: Call for SOs/ACs to Nominate Fellowship Program Mentors and Selection Committee Members

Supporting Organizations (SOs) and Advisory Committees (ACs) are invited to nominate volunteers to serve as mentors in its Fellowship Program and to serve on the Fellowship Program Selection Committee. There will be a total of seven mentors and seven Selection Committee members, and each group is welcome to nominate one individual for each role.

Interested SOs/ACs should select their respective Fellowship Program mentor and Selection Committee representative by Tuesday, 31 January 2023 and notify fellowshipconsultation@icann.org. Individual self-nominations will not be considered.

The Nominating Committee (NomCom) of ICANN is accepting applications for key leadership positions within ICANN's Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees, the ICANN Board of Directors, and the Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) Board of Directors.
