Dear Councilors,
Jeff Neuman asked that his email below be forwarded to the Council List. It clarifies a recent announcement from ICANN Org regarding what Org terms “Work Track 6” of Sub Pro. This is not a reference to any
work track language that was in the Sub Pro Final Report. See Jeff’s note below for more detail.

Dear Anne and GNSO Council Leadership,
If you can post this to the Council list, I would appreciate it because I am sending this note in my capacity as the ODP Liaison to SubPro and not in my Council role as Liaison to the GAC.
In the Blog Article on SubPro “Work Track 6”, ICANN Org is not referring to “work tracks” in the sense that they were used in the SubPro PDP. I know the terminology is the same, but you may recall that in
one of its first updates, the ICANN ODP Team described that it divided its own internal work into “Work Tracks” to perform the ODA. See
https://www.icann.org/en/blogs/details/icann-subsequent-procedures-odp-introducing-the-work-tracks-18-1-2022-en.
In each of its updates, the ICANN Org SubPro ODP describes the work of its Work Tracks, and this latest update on November 2nd described its own work on Communication and Outreach. So, this bears
no relationship to the five (5) work tracks of the SubPro PDP which related to policy development.
Therefore, there is no action for the GNSO or community to take. This is just a project update from the ICANN Org SubPro ODP Team.
I hope this clarification helps.
I am also posting this on the SubPro ODP mailing list for the benefit of others following the conversation. If you all can repost on the Council list I would appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Jeff Neuman
GNSO Liaison to SubPro

Hi Anne,
Thank you for your question regarding Sub Pro Work Track 6 Outreach and the Auction Grant Program Report and whether these belong on the Council’s agenda for discussion. In general, items that are
included in the agenda, are those that fit within the Council’s role as a manager of the policy development process, and/or items for which the Council is expected to take a decision or action either at that meeting or in the near future. Although the two
items you listed are the result of previous actions of the GNSO Council (SubPro PDP and new gTLD Auction Proceeds CCWG), it does not seem that there is any immediate action expected on these topics from a Council perspective. . .

HI Sebastien et al,
I don’t have experience with what belongs on Council’s agenda for discussion so I want to ask about these two items first before making any suggestions:
