NEW: Translation/Print Deadlines

 

19 JULY 2022: TRANSLATION DEADLINE:

If your publication requires translation, please provide the final material(s) by Tuesday, 19 July. This ensures that there is enough time to translate the publication by the below print deadline. If your materials require design assistance (outlined above), please note that the final materials will have to be complete, including the edit/approval process, by this deadline to be translated. 

 

01 AUGUST 2022: PRINT DEADLINE ONLY.

If you only need your publication printed, meaning your publication is ready to send directly to the printer and needs no translation or design/layout modifications, please provide the file to us along with the quantity you want printed and dimensions of the publication by Monday, 01 August.

REMINDER: Nomination Period Opens for Dr. Tarek Kamel Award for Capacity Building

 

ICANN opened a one-month nomination [r20.rs6.net] period for the Dr. Tarek Kamel Award for Capacity Building. The ICANN Board will evaluate a shortlist of candidates. Please submit nominations via this nomination form [r20.rs6.net] by Monday, 25 July 2022, 23:59 UTC. Any additional information in support of nominations or questions about the award process may be submitted via email to kamelaward@icann.org.

 

This year's award recipient will be announced in September 2022 at ICANN75. For more information, please refer to the Dr. Tarek Kamel Award for Capacity Building webpage [r20.rs6.net].

REMINDER: Request for Appointment of Members and Liaisons to the CSC

 

As of 30 September 2022, several members and liaisons of the Customer Standing Committee (CSC) will complete their term. ICANN org will soon be asking chairs to initiate your respective group's processes to appoint members and liaisons to these seats. While members are required, liaison appointments are optional (albeit strongly encouraged). To ensure that the appointment process is completed in time for the start of the next CSC term, ICANN org will ask to be notified of your appointments by Monday, 1 August 2022.

 

More information will be shared directly via email, including detailed guidance about the process, candidate qualification requirements, and key dates.

REMINDER: NextGen@ICANN Mentor Program Nominations

 

The nomination period for the NextGen@ICANN Mentor Program is now open. Nominations must be submitted by no later than Monday, 1 August 2022. The community-nominated mentor will be responsible for overseeing the mentor process. Communities may choose to appoint program alumni and are encouraged to appoint active community members who have an interest in mentoring students. Guidelines for the program can be found here [r20.rs6.net].

 

Interested community groups should select their respective volunteers and notify Deborah Escalera, deborah.escalera@icann.org.
