Dear SO and AC Chairs,

 

The RrSG is pleased to announce that in preparation for ICANN78, the RrSG has just published a number of ‘explainer’ documents on our website (as with all of our informational resources, they are under https://rrsg.org/rrsg-cph-guidance-and-information/) that we hope will be useful to the wider community, as well as registrars.

 

We would very much appreciate if you could please share this with your groups.

 

  1. Understanding RDDS Responses – there are four different types of output you could get from Whois/RDAP, how does a user know which one they’re seeing? 
  2. New Policy  Explainer – Organization Field – the gTLD Registration Data Policy has a lot to say about how to handle the Org field. This doc walks you through the various requirements
  3. New Policy Explainer – Redaction – Redaction is a bit different under the new gTLD Registration Data Policy than it has been until now, this explainer should help with those changes
  4. ACID Tool  – for registrars, and for users – Helping to socialize the existence and benefit of ACID Tool, both for registrars and for tool users
  5. Webform Tips - Tips and tricks for hosting user-friendly and secure webforms
