Dear GNSO Council Leadership,

 

In addition to the note that I sent as my status report, can you please forward this note to the Council from Karen Lentz about both the publication of the most recent blog by ICANN on the commencement of the ODP and the description of Work Tracks as well as the Board Resolution this past weekend approving all of the recommendations of the RPM PDP.  Some of the recommendations from that PDP will be included in the ODP for SubPro (as described in the applicable resolution).

Also, you may have seen that the Board met on 16 January and approved a resolution on the Rights Protection Mechanisms (RPM) Phase 1 PDP recommendations, available here:  https://www.icann.org/resources/board-material/resolutions-2022-01-16-en#2.a.  A subset of these recommendations are identified to be incorporated into the next round work as they call for changes to the Applicant Guidebook or base Registry Agreement.
