NEW: New ICANN Reporting Enhances Visibility of Complaint Volumes and Trends

 

ICANN organization's Contractual Compliance function has begun publishing new reports to capture the current landscape of complaint volumes and related compliance actions. These reports are made possible by the expanded data now available in our new Salesforce-based ticketing system (NSp Compliance).

 

 

 

NEW: ICANN Expands DNSTICR to Monitor Terms Related to Russia-Ukraine War

 

When global events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, capture the world’s concern and human desire to help, bad actors lurk behind the scenes, seeking innovative ways to confuse, distract, and steal from the unsuspecting.

 

In response to these security threats, ICANN organization, through its Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), developed the Domain Name Security Threat Information Collection and Reporting (DNSTICR) system to report COVID-19-related domain name system (DNS) security threats to the registrar responsible for the domains in question. DNSTICR is a robust, linguistically comprehensive, reliable and replicable system designed to specifically search for phishing or malware domain names that match with a set of COVID-related keywords.

 

 

 

NEW: NextGen@ICANN Application Deadline for ICANN74 Extended Through 1 April 2022

 

ICANN has extended the deadline to submit applications for the NextGen@ICANN program for the ICANN74 Policy Forum Meeting. The closing date for applications is now 1 April 2022.

Approved resolutions [r20.rs6.net] from the regular meeting of the ICANN Board held on 10 March 2022.

 

 

NEW: ITI Update: New ICANN Content Added and Upcoming Releases

 

Since March 2021, the ITI team has improved thousands of pages and files and made that content available directly to the ICANN community through the new ITI document management system and content management system and applied our new taxonomy and information architecture.

 

 

 

REMINDER: ICANN Org's Draft Planning Prioritization Framework (Version 1) Now Available

 

ICANN org recently published the initial draft [r20.rs6.net] of its Planning Prioritization Framework. Since FY21, planning at ICANN has been one of 15 Operating Initiatives included in ICANN’s Operating Plan. As part of this initiative, the draft Planning Prioritization Framework is designed to help ICANN prioritize its work within the planning cycle in a manner that is transparent, inclusive, and efficient.

 

 

 

REMINDER: ICANN Community Excellence Award Nomination Period Now Open
