Dear Councilors,

We have received some questions regarding the face-to-face meeting referenced in the recent email re: the SSAD Supplemental Recommendations Team. We have provided some additional information below, but please feel free to reach out with additional questions.

When and where is the planned face-to-face meeting?

The SSAD face-to-face meeting will be held on Sunday, 07 June in Seville. This is one day before ICANN86 begins.

Will additional funding be provided? 

Yes. For the avoidance of doubt, members of the SSAD Supplemental Recommendations Team (including participating Councilors) will be provided with one additional hotel day and one additional day of per diem in Seville.

Please note there will be no airfare or additional hotel days (beyond Day 0) provided for members who will not already be in Seville. 

I am not a funded traveler for ICANN86, and I wasn’t planning on attending in person. Will remote participation be provided? 

Yes, remote participation will be made available for team members who are unable to travel.  

What if I already booked my travel to ICANN86?

If you plan to participate in the SSAD Supplemental Recommendations Team, you may make changes to your flight and hotel up until Friday, 24 April.

Please note this is the final deadline to make changes to your travel arrangements. If you do not make changes by the deadline, any additional change fees will not be covered by ICANN org. 

What about the additional Community members who participate - can they attend this meeting in person? 

Yes. Please note that all members of the SSAD Supplemental Recommendations Team will be provided with one additional hotel day and one additional day of per diem only. Additionally, if a Community member has already booked travel, ICANN org will cover the change fee if travel is changed by the deadline of Friday, 24 April.

Please note there be no airfare or additional hotel days (beyond Day 0) provided for members who will not already be in Seville.  

Because of the travel change deadline of Friday, 24 April, we kindly request councilors to let your respective groups know of this upcoming face-to-face meeting so that the additional community members from your constituency who plan to participate in the SSAD Supplemental Recommendations Team are aware of this planned meeting and can plan their travel accordingly.
