Hello Donna and everyone,

Staff have highlighted to the Board the fact that the GNSO is interested in the specific question as to the status of the IGO “small group” proposal. The Board is of course aware of the GNSO Council’s letter of 31 May, and while the Council may not have expected a formal response before Helsinki, staff have also noted that the “small group” is likely to be raised in discussion of the overall RC/IGO topic with Board members in Helsinki.

I will do my best to see if I can follow up further.

Dear all,

Here is an update on the two action items requested of staff that were made during the webinar:

(1) Prepare a consolidated table of all the inconsistent recommendations (as presented during the webinar), with additional information on what names/acronyms have been temporarily reserved and what others adopted as permanent policy – this has been done (see attached document).

(2) Further information to be sought regarding the composition and status of the IGO-GAC-Board “small group” developing a proposal for IGO acronyms – we have noted this to colleagues working with the “small group” and expect some further information to be provided to the Council and GNSO community by Helsinki.
