NEW: Expanded Interpretation Services for ICANN68
From: Sally Newell Cohen, Senior Vice President, Global Communications
ICANN org is pleased to announce that the upcoming ICANN68 Virtual Policy Forum will once again include two-way interpretation in all six United Nations languages:
Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish. Additionally, Portuguese will be available for Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) sessions.
For the ICANN68 Virtual Policy Forum, the Language Services and Meeting Technical Services teams will utilize a remote simultaneous interpretation platform to support
the increased remote language services offering. The expanded language services are an enhancement to what was offered at the ICANN67 Virtual Community Forum and will be available for all ICANN68 sessions with interpretation.
Community members who plan to use simultaneous interpretation services in their preferred language will need to download and install the application Congress
Rental Network [r20.rs6.net] on their mobile device. A demonstration of the interpretation
platform will be held today at 22:00 UTC as part of ICANN68 Prep Sessions. Register here
[r20.rs6.net].

NEW:
Next Steps for Enhancing the Effectiveness of ICANN’s Multistakeholder Model
From:
Maarten Botterman, ICANN Board Chair
To continue this work, the Board is seeking the community's feedback on three key areas:
1.
The Work Plan: We are interested in your input on the priority work areas and whether the mechanisms or actions outlined sufficiently address the identified
gaps in work already underway. We encourage your feedback on the gaps identified in the Work Plan, and whether there are any additional gaps that should be considered.
2.
Remaining Work Areas: While we focused the updated Work Plan on the priority areas mentioned above, we also welcome any community-driven actions to help
address the remaining work areas. We would like to know if your community group would like to initiate or coordinate any other actions.
3.
Evaluation Mechanism: The Work Plan includes a proposed evaluation mechanism to gauge whether the project is achieving its goals. We would like to hear your
thoughts as to whether periodic evaluation should be conducted and if so, whether it should be done by using existing structures such as the strategic plan review process, or if you believe other more suitable means should be considered.

NEW: Organizational Changes Coming to ICANN org
From:
Göran Marby, President and Chief Executive Officer
In this day and age, all organizations experience change; whether planned or unplanned, change is inevitable. This requires us to be responsive and adaptable. As stewards
of ICANN org, my Executive team and I take this responsibility seriously. Whenever changes occur, it is our duty to evaluate the impacts of the change and leverage the opportunity to evolve our support for the community to maximize efficiency, collaboration,
and resources.

NEW: ICANN and the Schools on Internet Governance
From:
Sally Costerton, Senior Advisor to the President and Senior Vice President, Global Stakeholder Engagement
The ICANN community has devoted significant resources to developing ICANN's Strategic Plan for fiscal years 2021-2025, which in part focuses on building capacity on
the technical and operational objectives. To ensure alignment with the goals in the Strategic Plan, ICANN has conducted a review of Schools on Internet Governance (SIGs) around the world and identified a set of good practices to guide our future support of
these initiatives.
We will engage with our current SIG partners to share our thinking about how we can align our participation in individual schools that share our core objectives. We
also plan to simplify how new school organizers can engage with us in the future.
We will be sharing updates as this effort progresses.
