Dear Avri,
As Chair of the Board's Structural Improvements Committee (SIC) I am responding to your inquiry about restrictions on GNSO Council Nominating Committee Appointees (NCA) joining Constituencies. The Office of the General Counsel has confirmed that there are no provisions in the current Bylaws that prevent you from joining a Constituency. As such, your particular situation is not a matter for Board involvement.
As the SIC considers improvements to our Nominating Committee's responsibilities and processes, we will take into consideration the issue of NCA affiliations/memberships as it applies to future NomCom appointments.
Best regards,
Roberto
