NEW: GNSO PDP to Review the Transfer Policy

 

The Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Council recently initiated a two-phased policy development process (PDP) to review the Transfer Policy, which will determine if changes to the policy are needed to improve the ease, security, and efficacy of inter-registrar and inter-registrant transfers.

 

Expressions of Interest: Chair of the GNSO PDP Working Group to Review the Transfer Policy

There will be an announcement on icann.org tomorrow opening an Expressions of Interest process for the chair of the GNSO PDP working group to review the Transfer Policy. All are encouraged to share this information with those who may be interested in the chair role. The deadline for Expressions of Interest will be Friday, 16 April 2021.

 

Call for Volunteers: GNSO PDP Working Group to Review the Transfer Policy

SO/AC/SG/C chairs will soon receive a letter inviting them to appoint a limited number of members and alternates by Monday, 26 April 2021 to the new Generic Names Supporting Organization Policy Development Process Working Group to Review the Transfer Policy.

 

 

ENDS TODAY: ICANN Nominating Committee Application Period

 

The ICANN Nominating Committee invites interested individuals to submit applications for key leadership positions. Selected individuals will have a unique opportunity to work with accomplished colleagues from around the globe to help shape the Internet's technical coordination and policy development.

 

The deadline to submit applications is Monday, 29 March 2021 at 23:59 UTC. Applications should be submitted via the online [r20.rs6.net]candidate portal [r20.rs6.net]. All applications are confidential.

The nomination period for the ICANN Community Excellence Award 2021 ends today. The winner(s) will be announced during ICANN71. The ICANN Community Excellence Award recognizes ICANN community members who substantively contribute to policymaking within the ICANN ecosystem and who are deeply invested in developing consensus-based solutions within ICANN’s multistakeholder model.
