As mentioned during the GNSO Council Development Session, please find attached the slide deck that was intended to be used to review the GNSO Council strategic objectives. On slide two you can find the objectives that were set as part of the last GNSO
Council Development Session namely:
- Strengthen working relationship with the GAC
- Increased efficiency and effectiveness of the Council
- Facilitate entry of new volunteers in GNSO WGs
- Acknowledgement / respect for the role and the work of the GNSO in general in in particular
- Enhance preparedness and understanding by the Council and others of policy topics under consideration
- Role and function of the GNSO Council in the GNSO
The subsequent slides aim to capture some of the milestones achieved in the last year that have contributed towards meeting these strategic objectives. You are encouraged to provide your input on the following questions as outlined on slide 9:
- Are these strategic objectives still valid? If not, what updates / additions should be made?
- How can success be measured for each of these strategic objectives?
- What needs to be done and by whom in order to meet these strategic objectives?
- How to make progress on these between now and ICANN 55 taking into account current workload and policy priorities?
