Registration is now open for the ICANN76 Community Forum, which will be held both virtually and in-person from 11-16 March 2023 in Cancún, Mexico. In-person registration closes 8 March 2023, while virtual registration closes 16 March 2023.

REMINDER: ICANN76 Design, Translation, and Print Deadline

 

21 December 2022 | DESIGN DEADLINE:

If you require design assistance for your publication, you need to provide all the text, images, layout, and publication type/size requirements (i.e. newsletter vs. 1-pager vs. trifold, etc.). You will receive a maximum of 2 iterations of the publication. Please provide everything by 21 December 2022. Due to budget constraints, please keep in mind that all materials, new or updated, need to be evergreen.

 

13 January 2023 | TRANSLATION DEADLINE:

If your publication requires translation, please provide the final material(s) by 13 January. This ensures that there is enough time to translate the publication by the below print deadline. If your materials require design assistance (outlined above), please note that the final materials will have to be complete, including the edit/approval process, by this deadline to be translated.

 

27 January 2023 | PRINT DEADLINE ONLY.

If you only need your publication printed, meaning your publication is ready to send directly to the printer and needs no translation or design/layout modifications, please provide the file to us along with the quantity you want printed and dimensions of the publication by 27 January 2023.

REMINDER: ICANN76 Community Childcare Grants Pilot Program Application Now Open

 

ICANN is opening the application round for its Community Childcare Grants Pilot Program for ICANN76 in Cancún, Mexico. The program facilitates in-person participation of community members with children 12 years or younger at ICANN Public Meetings and eligible ICANN events.

 

The deadline to apply for the ICANN76 grant is Friday, 13 January 2023 at 23:59 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The application is available here [r20.rs6.net].

New developments will assist Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)-accredited registrars and gTLD registries ("contracted parties") in fulfilling their ongoing obligations to provide access to nonpublic gTLD registration data, while improving the experience for contracted parties, data requestors, and other WHOIS users.

NEW: ICANN Completes Initial Evaluation of DNS Security Recommendations

 

ICANN organization (org) recently completed a feasibility evaluation on 12 recommendations made by the Domain Name System Security Facilitation Initiative Technical Study Group (DSFI-TSG) in its [r20.rs6.net]final [r20.rs6.net] [r20.rs6.net]report [r20.rs6.net]. The assessment found all recommendations met ICANN's strategic goals, aligned with ICANN's operating plan, and had no security, stability, or resiliency concerns.

NEW: ICANN’s North America GSE Team Provides Overview of Activities in 2022

 

The North America (NA) Global Stakeholder Engagement (GSE) team had a noteworthy 2022. A key highlight from this year has been the return to face-to-face meetings, which provided an excellent opportunity to reconnect with community members and meet new people.

REMINDER: Call for SOs/ACs to Nominate Fellowship Program Mentors and Selection Committee Members

 

Supporting Organizations (SOs) and Advisory Committees (ACs) are invited to nominate volunteers to serve as mentors in its Fellowship Program and to serve on the Fellowship Program Selection Committee. There will be a total of seven mentors and seven Selection Committee members, and each group is welcome to nominate one individual for each role.

 

Interested SOs/ACs should select their respective Fellowship Program mentor and Selection Committee representative by Tuesday, 31 January 2023 and notify fellowshipconsultation@icann.org. Individual self-nominations will not be considered.

 

 

REMINDER: ICANN77 Fellowship Application Round Now Open

 

ICANN is opening the application round for the ICANN Fellowship Program for the ICANN77 Policy Forum. This round is open only to those who have previously completed an ICANN fellowship. The ICANN77 Policy Forum is scheduled for 12–15 June 2023 in Washington, D.C. If ICANN77 is held virtually, the Fellowship Program will also be held virtually. The deadline to apply is 15 December 2022, 23:59 UTC.

 

Successful candidates will be announced on Friday, 17 February 2023.
