Hi Anne,

I’m not suggesting it is out of scope. I am pointing out that the Board is still considering the SSAD recommendations and will take into account the final report of the RDRS team. At that point, the Board will either accept the SSAD Recommendations, reject them (and trigger Council’s ability to supplement), or come to the Council proactively before rejecting them to work with us in some what they see fit.  Either way, the DNS Abuse Small Team looks to be the wrong place for all of that work to land and is a distraction what we all talked about the team doing.

Best,

Paul

OR maybe point you to the ongoing lack of implementation of SSAD and the actual (at least temporary) continuation of RDRS ? (which you and I both support!).  I always appreciate your sense of humor!  You make me chuckle. ;-)

Technically RDRS is "experimental" but does anyone really think SSAD is still alive anywhere on any real agenda?

Are you suggesting RDRS (as a mitigation tool) is out of scope for the DNS Abuse Small Team?

Thanks Anne. I hadn’t realized that the Board made a final decision that the SSAD is unimplementable and the Council Recommendations had been rejected. Can you point me to the Board’s resolution?

Paul

Thanks Paul.  Of course the SSAD is considered "unimplementable" and the future of RDRS is uncertain so it does strike me as relevant to the topic of DNS ABuse measures that Council should be taking into account.  I do think the Small Team should be looking at the "big picture"..

Thanks Anne. The RDRS work is part of the SSAD PDP work. I don’t think we should divert it to DNS abuse small team.

Thank you Feodora.  To Council members, I am wondering whether tasks assigned to the DNS Abuse Small Team should incorporate review of recent data supplied by the community to ICANN in relation to RDRS and summary report from ICANN on this service?  I don't think RDRS is specifically mentioned in the Assignment form as being in scope for the DNS Abuse small team.  Wouldn't RDRS be considered an abuse mitigation tool?

Thanks all.
